Hi, I’m Klemen
It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Originally Slovenian, I ran away from “home” in my teens to play baseball in California.
With time I found myself bouncing in-between societies, free.
During this time I developed a passion for freedom, world travel, empathy,
exploring the human condition with curiosity while spreading love ❤
Green: Countries I’ve visited, Blue: Countries I’ve lived in
In 2017 my life changed significantly when my wandering path by chance led me to DPR (North) Korea.
Infatuated with the human situation there, looking beyond politics or ideology I started a small little anti nuclear war & reforestation project called Tomorrow Tree which I’m now trying to get off the ground.
Generally, I avoid holding significant, well defined personal ideological or political beliefs.
The few which I inevitably do form as a result from life experience, do not change my open mindedness, as I am personally of the opinion that regardless of labels, in the absence of circumstance (which cause “little” differences between us) we are all the same in the grand scheme of things.
We are all innately terrible at admitting our own flaws, and exposed to various psychological and sociological mechanisms which perpetuate our “self - confirmation bias” - leading to all sorts of trouble in-between us.
We should thus always stay open minded and allow for the possibility of being wrong.
We can not resolve any issues by listening to only a single voice, or a single group.
The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.
Understand that I personally love all: the United States, the DPRK (North Korea), the ROK (South Korea), China, Russia... the whole world; left leaning, right leaning, all races, all genders, all classes... sadists or masochists… To me personally, for better or worse humans are humans; Everyone deserves love, understanding, opportunity and forgiveness.
I didn’t have the time to fully build this website yet, so please bare with me, but here are some important links:

My Why Korea - wrote this years ago, it’s written a bit childishly, I apologize, I did not have the time to update it yet, but it’s my personal “why” I’m risking my life in the Korea situation. Noone - albeit an individual or an entire nation goes through something like that without turning violent. Violence breeds violence. It is my personal opinion we have no chance in solving this conflict without showing more empathy and understanding while admitting that in this situation no one’s hands are clean.
